Oreo Cheesecake Pretzel Bites

How is it July already? It seems like New Years Eve wasn’t even that long ago! But I can tell you one thing, it sure does feel like July outside. And with temperatures rising, the last thing I want to do is spend hours in my kitchen. Hot ovens and hot kitchens do not mix very well, so this is the time of year I like to roll out my favorite no-bake recipes.

Including my Oreo Cheesecake Pretzel Bites. My all-time favorite sweet treats are chocolate covered pretzels. They’re easy, yet incredibly delicious. Salty & sweet makes one irresistible combination, so chocolate covered pretzels are at the top of my favorite food list. Earlier this year, I made Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites and they were a hit, so I thought I’d share with you a similar salty, sweet, no-bake treat.

These bites are so simple, I can hardly call it a recipe! Simply grind up some Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, mix them with cream cheese, and sandwich the mixture between two pretzels. Dip them into chocolate, give them a little chocolate sprinkle and you’re done! They taste just like little Oreo cheesecakes with a salty pretzel crunch. And I must admit, they are completely addicting and are sure to be a hit at any party this summer!

Oreo Cheesecake Pretzel Bites
makes 24 pretzel sandwiches
  • 4 ounces white chocolate baking bars (found in the baking aisle)
  • 18 Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened (1/2 block)
  • 48 mini pretzels
  • chocolate sprinkles
1. Pulse Oreo cookies into a fine crumb with a food processor or blender.
2. Mix Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese. Mixture will be sticky. Once completely mixed, chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes so that Oreo cheesecake mixture may firm up.
3. Remove from refrigerator and roll into 24 little balls (about 1-2 tsp each). Gently press two pretzels on either side of the Oreo cheesecake ball.  Repeat with all 24 sandwiches. Refrigerate sandwiches for at least 1 hour so that the pretzels and filling will stick together.
4.  Melt chocolate according to package instructions. Dip each pretzel sandwich into the chocolate and immediately top with sprinkles. Allow chocolate to set for at least 10 minutes. Store in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
